As you lead your children through Let’s Build a Manger™, as well as through any activity you do together, here are a few critical reminders:

Be a “Guide by the Side”

Encourage and coach your child to do as much as he/she/they can. If they can read: Let them read and follow the instructions as you coach. If they can’t read: You reach and coach as they execute.

Be Patient and Take Your Time

You are making memories for your child, not trying to win a race.

Celebrate Their Efforts and Successes

Lead with joy. They are watching you, Dad!

And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.
